Around this time last year, we embraced a message that is as bold as it is revolutionary: “Women don’t need us to empower them, they already have power.” This profound truth reshaped our purpose and renewed our commitment to driving meaningful change. By drawing on nearly three decades of research and the lessons learned from our successes, we launched Invest in HER Power, built on the transformative HER Framework.

We reaffirmed our determination to illuminate a simple but powerful reality: Women are not a problem to be solved-they are the solution the world needs.

Time and again, microfinance has demonstrated this truth. Investments in women yield extraordinary returns, with repayment rates of 99%. Invest in HER Power takes this evidence and transforms it into a scalable, repeatable solution that meets the pressing need for systemic change.

In 2024, we celebrated a monumental milestone: reaching 29 million people since 2016. This achievement is not just a number, it represents lives transformed, futures rewritten, and hope rekindled.

I am deeply proud of our team around the world, the Grameen Foundation Board, and newly formed Leadership Advisory Council. Every woman whose life we touch creates ripples of opportunity for her family and generations to come, a testament to the profound impact of our mission.

As we start a new year, we carry with us the strength of our purpose and the unwavering belief in what we can achieve together. Our work has never been more essential. By transforming the systems around women, we are not just addressing inequities, we are building a better, brighter future for all.
