Hosted by comedian and actress, Aparna Nancherla and featuring Monica Yunus, Gingger Shankar, Emelise Munoz, and the Sing for Hope children's chorus, we're amplifying the voices of trailblazing women.

Join us in the Arts capital of the US for a joyful evening of music, song, and comedy.

Aparna Nancherla is an author and actress who has provided a much-needed voice in the comedy scene since 2006. "Her sense of humor is dry, existential, and absurd, with notes of uncalled-for whimsy. Think a wine you didn’t order." Aparna weaves comedy into moments of vulnerability, strength, and ridiculousness and has paved a way for herself in a male-dominated field. Monica Yunus, a soprano hailed with a “voice that sparkles like the best of diamonds,” has performed all over the world - from Spain to Bangladesh, to Guatemala, and Lebanon - collaborating alongside legendary singers such as Plácido Domingo, Andrea Bocelli, and Bryn Terfel to name a few. The first Bangladeshi-American principal artist at The Metropolitan Opera, Monica can be seen in numerous global broadcasts ranging from The Magic Flute to Le Comte Ory to La Rondine. A graduate of The Juilliard School, Monica is the Co-Founder of Sing for Hope, a leading arts peace corps that creates programs such as the Sing for Hope Pianos in public spaces from the Bronx to Beirut that promote the mission of art for all. Gingger Shankar is an artist, composer, filmmaker, and activist who is the only female in the world who has mastered the double violin. Though Gingger was born into one of the world’s most acclaimed and influential musical families, she inhabits her own niche in the musical world. She has worked with top artists, producers, and film composers and has scored numerous film and television projects including the CNN film We Will Rise: Michelle Obama’s Mission to Educate Girls Around the World. Singer and songwriter, Emelise Munoz

Emelise Munoz is a singer/songwriter musician from the Rocky Mountain Front Range, whose passion for making music often has her listeners referring to her as an old soul. Her style is a folk-rock, Americana blend. Emelise has been playing live music in front of crowds since she was six years old. She enjoys street performing which has led to her booking shows across the country at coffee shops, farmer’s markets, microbreweries, festivals, and music venues. Learn more about Emelise here.
