Grameen Foundation has crafted two unique opportunities to experience our work in the field (including a trip for a family) as well internship opportunities in our offices across the region. 

3-Day Family Visit to Southern Luzon in the Philippines*

Details: Join Jennifer Meehan, CEO Asia of Grameen Foundation, to experience the context of poverty and see the impact of our work first-hand. You and your family will meet our team on the ground and visit a rural village to speak with women who have used microfinance to change their lives. You will also have a chance to visit their homes. Age appropriate activities will be interspersed throughout the visit. This visit is for individuals 5 years and older.

4-Day Visit to Gaya, Bihar State in India*

Details: Join Alex Counts, President, CEO, and Founder of Grameen Foundation, to experience poverty in one of the poorest parts of Asia and witness how opportunity empowers people to change their lives. You will learn how our team identifies the poorest people and develops solutions with and for them. You will then spend a day in the field visiting women who are participating in this ground-breaking work to understand their practical challenges and opportunities. This visit can include up to 4 guests and is for individuals 15 years and older.

Internship in New Delhi*

Details: An opportunity to work for up to 6 weeks with our Grameen Foundation India team to assist them with our activities throughout India. You can bid on this item for yourself or you can donate it to a person for whom this would be a life-changing experience. For individuals 18 years and older.

Internship in Jakarta, Indonesia*

Details: An opportunity to work closely on our innovative mobile-based information technology work for up to six weeks. You can bid on this item for yourself or you can donate it to a person for whom this would be a life-changing experience. Appropriate for individuals 18 years and older.

Internship in Hong Kong*

Details: An opportunity to work closely with our Hong Kong-based team for up to 6 weeks to advance the fight against poverty in the Asia region.
